Starscream London

Rich Melville

CEO

I founded Starscream in 2013 after a 15-year career as a journalist. I wrote about music, games, film and tech for MSN, Nuts, FHM, The Sunday Times and was Editor of What Hi Fi for a few years. My time as a journalist meant I got lots of poor-quality pitches (but amazing cocktails) from PR types who didn’t understand quite what they were promoting in terms of audio. I love audio and all things connected to the enjoyment of music, so these poor pitches led to the creation of Starscream and a different way of working. Aside from messing around with hi-fi cables the size of tree trunks and sniffing box fresh 180g vinyl, I enjoy gigs, PlayStation and French cider.

Liz Wilkinson

Account Manager

I studied Media & Production Technology at university, with particular focus on sound recording & creative design and subsequently spent 10 years driving Marketing Communications for legendary pro audio brand, Neve – frequenting many of the world’s most iconic recording studios and post-production facilities, before joining Starscream. I’m a proud Northerner, born and raised in Burnley (birthplace of Chumbawamba and Sir Ian McKellan… in case you were wondering). Mum to two wild boys, Wife of fell-running campervan enthusiast and when not working, can usually be found watching true crime documentaries, walking in the countryside or singing along to 80s rock in the kitchen.

Kash Kabir

Account Manager

I got my start as a tech journalist at What Hi-Fi?, spending over seven years reviewing everything from headphones and smartphones to high-end hi-fi systems. Listening to music on amazing audio kit was a highlight, as was going to events and learning how everything works. I’m bringing a love of all-things-audio and nerdy (and pastries) to the Starscream team.

In my spare time I’m trying to watch all the TV shows in the world, listening to 90s/00s rock and podcasts, and tending to an ever-growing houseplant collection.

Amber Johnson

Account Executive

I joined Starscream in 2021 after graduating from the University of Reading with a degree in English Literature the year before. Before I joined Starscream I worked as a content developer for a travel company which sparked my interest in PR and digital marketing. In my spare time I love reading, listening to true crime podcasts and indie music and going gigs and festivals. Since moving to London to work with Starscream I have also been loving eating out with friends and trying lots of different foods!

Dom Whaler

Account Executive

I joined Starscream after working in PR for various clients in the automotive and tech industries which, along with an eternal love for all things music, inspired me to make the move to the music and audio sector. I currently live in London and in my spare time can be found either trying out new pubs and restaurants, frequenting music venues, attempting jazz piano beyond my ability or cheering on the best team in London at the famous Craven Cottage.

Jody Hockley

Head of Creative

I’ve been working in the creative industry for over 20 years. During that time I’ve worked on projects for nearly all the major audio and tech brands – creating campaigns, art directing shoots, branding and designing along the way. I feel very lucky to do a job that allows me to create every day. I also enjoy switching off and getting outside with my family, surfing and climbing.

Rosie Gray

Partnerships Manager

I worked in marketing in the TV industry for over 15 years including twelve years at Disney working on Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars brands. I love TV, movies and any good story really. Music-wise, I’m a big fan of the divas – from Dolly to Madonna, Beyonce to Shakira and Diana to Gaga. My knowledge of what it takes to be a Disney Princess has served me well as I’m now mum to the feistiest 3-year-old girl I know. Born and raised in London, when not working I love spending time with the family, cooking and eating together and the occasional boot camp class on the side.

Starscream New York

Jaclyn Inglis

Account Manager

I have worked in PR and publicity for 18 years, most of that time working around music in some capacity – with venues, recording studios, record labels, and at Starscream. I consider Brooklyn home but move between New York and Indianapolis to keep a good family balance. When not working, I am practicing or teaching yoga, raising backyard chickens, or competing with my family to become our dog, Sandwich’s favourite human.
